PARIS (Thomson Financial) - Eiffage may raise the share of its profits that are allocated to shareholder dividends, La Tribune reported on its website, citing comments from chairman Jean-Francois Roverato. The company's board may take a decision on the issue at its next meeting in February, Roverato said.No one at Eiffage was immediately available to confirm the comments.Construction group Eiffage currently pays out less than 25 pct of its profits in dividends, La Tribune said, compared with 30-40 pct for most French listed companies. The French company is locked in a legal battle with Spanish shareholder Sacyr Vallehermoso SA, which is attempting to take control of Eiffage via an all-share offer.tfn.paris@thomson.comgt/jlcCOPYRIGHTCopyright Thomson Financial News Limited 2007.
