BEA Systems 4Q revenue grows 15 percent |

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) - Software company BEA Systems Inc. said Thursday its fourth-quarter revenue grew 15 percent and beat Wall Street's expectations.The company will not yet report its full earnings for the quarter or fiscal year, due to its voluntary internal review of stock-option practices.Quarterly revenue rose to $391.8 million from $341.4 million in the prior-year period, aided by gains in both license fee and service revenue. Wall Street, on average, expected $385.5 million sales, according to an analyst poll by Thomson Financial.Full-year revenue rose 17 percent to $1.4 billion from $1.2 billion.The company said earlier this month it expects to restate financial results for fiscal 1998 through fiscal 2007 to correct accounting errors found during its stock option review.BEA Systems rose 9 cents to close at $13.20 on the Nasdaq Stock Market.Copyright 2007 Associated Press.
