India's Apollo may bid for UK's Abbey Hospitals - report

BOMBAY (XFN-ASIA) - Apollo Hospitals may bid for UK-based Abbey Hospitals, the Economic Times reported, citing unnamed sources.

JP Morgan's private equity arm, One Equity Capital, is among those likely to partner Apollo in the buyout, it said.

Abbey, which operates a chain of six hospitals, has been put up for sale by British healthcare group Covenant with an estimated price tag of 100-150 mln usd, the report said.
