ST. LOUIS (AP) - Monsanto Co., the world's largest seed company, said Tuesday it has formed a holding company to invest capital and technology in vegetable and fruit seed businesses.The foundation of International Seed Group Inc. is Netherlands-based Western Seed, which specializes in tomato hybrids as well as other vegetable and fruit crops.In January, International Seed acquired Poloni Semences, a Charentais melon breeding company based in France.Monsanto shares fell 86 cents to $60.97 Tuesday.Copyright 2007 Associated Press.
