Raytheon gets $5.7M Navy deal |

WASHINGTON (AFX) - The U.S. Navy said on Tuesday it awarded a $5.7 million contract to a unit of Raytheon Co.Portsmouth, R.I.-based Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems will provide logistics support for the Navy's primary undersea warfare sensor program. The sensor used for the Navy's MH60R multi-mission helicopter offers mission critical capabilities including detection and tracking of submarines and underwater communication.The company will perform work in Portsmouth and Brest, France by December 2007.Shares of Raytheon gained $1.23, or 2.4 percent, to finish at $53.18 on the New York Stock Exchange.Copyright 2006 Associated Press.
