PARIS (Thomson Financial) - Lagardere SCA is planning to sell Virgin France, which operates the Virgin Megastore chain of music and book stores, following a series of losses at the unit, Les Echos reported.According to the newspaper, Lagardere has informed the management of Virgin France of its intention to sell the business, citing a source close to the matter as saying that 'the sale process has been launched'.Les Echos said that Lagardere and Virgin France both rejected the claims, with Lagardere referring to a 'a recurring rumour which has no foundation currently'.According to Les Echos, Virgin France has suffered losses under the impact of falling music and video sales.tfn.paris@thomson.comgt/ejpCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
