Telecom Italia H1 'very good, above expectations' - director

MILAN (Thomson Financial) - Telecom Italia SpA first half results are excellent and above expectations, Telecom Italia board member Gilberto Benetton said.

'The first half results are very good, above expectations,' Benetton said, leaving the Telecom Italia board meeting.

Benetton said the board had not discussed the issue of separation of the group's fixed-line network.
