HOUSTON (AFX) - Restaurant chain operator Luby's Inc. said Wednesday it named Scott Gray as its new chief financial officer, effective April 20.Gray takes over for Ernie Pekmezaris who will remain an adviser to the company, the restaurant chain said.Gray has worked as vice president of finance, director of planning and director of internal audit at the company. Before starting at Luby's, he held a number of positions at Pappas Restaurants and worked as an external auditor at Arthur Andersen.Luby's operates 127 cafeteria-style restaurants throughout Texas and four other states.Shares rose 11 cents to $10.85 in morning trading on the New York Stock Exchange.Copyright 2006 Associated Press.
