Teva wins US FDA approval for generic version of Novartis' Famvir |

ZURICH (Thomson Financial) - Teva Pharmaceutical Industries said it has won approval from the US Federal Drug Administration to market a generic version of Novartis AG's genital herpes drug Famvir in 125 milligramme, 250 mg and 500 mg doses.In June, Teva received tentative approval from the FDA, pending the mandatory stay of approval associated with patent litigation brought by Novartis against the Israeli pharmaceuticals group.sarah.fenwick@thomson.comawp/sf/jsaCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
