Warner Chilcott sues Barr over Femcon FE |

ROCKAWAY, N.J. (AP) - Pharmaceutical company Warner Chilcott Ltd. said Monday it filed a lawsuit against Barr Pharmaceuticals Inc. over the company's patent for chewable contraceptive Femcon FE.The company said the lawsuit is in response to Barr's application with the Food and Drug Administration for a generic version of the contraceptive. Warner Chilcott said its patent doesn't expire until 2019.The lawsuit filing triggers a stay of FDA approval for Barr's application for 30 months.Shares of Warner Chilcott fell 16 cents to $17.66 in morning trading.
