Century 21 China Real Estate takes in 52 mln usd investment from Avenue Capital

BEIJING (XFN-ASIA) - Century 21 China Real Estate, a unit of Century 21 Real Estate LLC, said Avenue Capital has invested 52 mln usd, becoming the Chinese company's third largest shareholder.

Founded in 1995, Avenue Capital Group of the US managed assets valued at about 18.6 bln usd at the end of August.

In December 2005, Goldman Sachs Strategic Investments (Asia) LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Goldman Sachs Group, also entered into an investment agreement with Century 21 China and injected 22 mln usd into the company, becoming its second largest shareholder.
