COPENHAGEN (Thomson Financial) - H Lundbeck AS will release the results of Phase 3 studies of its thrombotic disease treatment Desmoteplase on June 1, CEO Claus Braestrup has told a share analysts' meeting.

According to Berlingske Business news website, the results of this study are decisive for the Danish pharmaceuticals company, which risks its second fiasco within a few months.

However, good results could lead to a great success for the drug, which is being developed in conjunction with the German pharmaceutical company PAION AG.

The website cited analysts as saying that Desmoteplase has 'blockbuster potential' as there is no other treatment available today.

Newswire RB-Boersen said Braestrup added that results of the Phase 2 tests of depression treatment candidate 21004 can be expected in the autumn.

Direkt reported that Lundbeck is scanning the US market for acquisition candidates.

'We are currently considering whether we should make a small acquisition on the American market, but finding suitable candidates is difficult,' Braestrup said.
