AMSTERDAM (Thomson Financial) - Amsterdam shares TFN market data at 10.28 am

MAJOR INDICES

AEX 547.32, down 0.77 pct

AMX Midcap 746.71, down 1.19 pct

Government bonds higher

MAJOR DECLINERS

-Randstad plummets 14.97 pct to 52.88 eur as second-quarter earnings on the low-end of predictions and cautious third-quarter outlook 'disappoint'

-Fellow staffing stock Vedior down 6.07 pct at 20.59

-USG People likewise declines 6.55 pct to 30.65

-Hagemeyer down 1.48 pct at 3.99

-ING 1.21 pct weaker at 31.85

-Heijmans down 3.23 pct at 41.90

-Stork off by 0.58 pct at 47.92 after second-quarter results showed net profits pressured by a provision for the Aerospace division

MAJOR GAINERS

-TNT 0.53 pct firmer at 32.01

-DSM 0.63 pct stronger at 36.88 after upgrade to 'buy' from 'hold' at ABN Amro ahead of tomorrow's second-quarter results

-Getronics up 0.37 pct at 5.40

-CSM 0.33 pct stronger at 27.07
