Busch Entertainment moving to Orlando |

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - Busch Entertainment Corporation, which owns the Busch Gardens and SeaWorld parks, is moving its corporate headquarters from St. Louis, Mo., to Orlando, Fla., the company announced Wednesday.Four of the company's nine theme parks are in Central Florida. In addition to Busch Gardens and SeaWorld, Busch Entertainment owns Discovery Cove in Orlando and Adventure Island in Tampa.'Moving our headquarters allows us to explore the considerable opportunities and synergies offered by Central Florida, one of the world's premier family travel destinations,' the company's president and chief operating officer, Jim Atchison, said in a statement.Busch Entertainment, which is a division of Anheuser-Busch Companies Inc., also has properties in Texas, California, Virginia and Pennsylvania.The move is expected to be completed by July 2008.Also announced Wednesday was Atchison's promotion from general manager at SeaWorld Orlando. His replacement there has not yet been named. The company's board chairman Keith Kasen has assumed the additional role of chief executive officer, a new position.Copyright 2007 Associated Press.
