MUMBAI (Thomson Financial) - Indian pharmaceutical company Dr Reddys Laboratories Ltd said it has received final approval from the US Food and Drug Administration for its abbreviated new drug application for insomnia drug Zolpidem Tartrate tablets, 5 mg and 10 mg.Zolpidem Tartrate tablets are the generic version of Sanofi-Aventis' Ambien tablets.Ambien tablets had US sales of around 2.1 bln usd for the same strengths in 2006, according to IMS Health.sourav.mishra@thomson.comsmi/smi/raCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
