Alstom wins 650 mln eur share of SNCF order for tram-trains |

PARIS (Thomson Financial) - Train operator SNCF has awarded Alstom an order for 200 carriages for trams that can also run on train tracks in a deal worth a total of 720 mln eur, of which 650 mln eur will be claimed by Alstom.SNCF announced the order at a press conference.The order is composed of firm orders for 31 carriages and options for a further 169.Daily La Tribune had already reported last week that Alstom had won the contract, although it put the size of the order at 31 carriages plus 170 options.tfn.paris@thomson.comafp/gt/ambCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
