TOKYO (Thomson Financial) - Nissan Motor Co, Japan's third-largest automaker by sales, said Thursday its global output dropped 0.3 percent year-on-year to 275,651 vehicles in June, the first fall in three months, due to weak production at home and in the United States.Nissan gave the following figures for last month, with year-on-year percentage changes:Domestic vehicle output - down 17.9 percent at 89,111Domestic passenger car output - down 17.4 percent at 74,780Domestic vehicle sales - down 3.9 percent at 62,862Domestic passenger car sales - down 3.3 percent at 43,743Exports - down 4.2 percent at 50,062Overseas output - up 11.2 percent at 186,540Global production - down 0.3 percent at 275,651The following figures are for the first half of 2007, with year-on-year percentage changes:Domestic vehicle output - down 14.3 percent at 541,678Domestic passenger car output - down 15.3 percent at 450,877Domestic vehicle sales - down 8.6 percent at 392,663Domestic passenger car sales - down 12.4 percent at 263,871Exports - down 16.8 percent at 262,390Overseas output - up 9.1 percent at 1,105,254Global production - up 0.1 percent at 1,646,932(1 US dollar = 120.60 yen)kaori.kaneko@thomson.comkk/msCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
