Toyota June parent global output up 3.6 pct yr-on-yr, group output up 3.3 pct

TOKYO (Thomson Financial) - Toyota Motor Corp said Thursday its global output in June rose 3.6 percent from a year earlier to 734,354 vehicles, rising for the 32nd consecutive month, driven by demand expansion overseas.

TOKYO (Thomson Financial) - Toyota Motor Corp said Thursday its global output in June rose 3.6 percent from a year earlier to 734,354 vehicles, rising for the 32nd consecutive month, driven by demand expansion overseas.

Worldwide output by the Toyota group increased 3.3 percent in June to 819,252 units, the world's second-largest car maker said.

The group figure includes the output of Daihatsu Motor Co, a maker of mini vehicles, and truck maker Hino Motors Ltd. Toyota holds a 51 percent stake in each company.

The following figures for June are for Toyota Motor Corp only:

Domestic vehicle output - up 0.3 percent at 368,513 units

Domestic passenger car output - up 0.5 percent at 334,391 units

Domestic vehicle sales - down 12.0 percent at 127,306 units

Domestic passenger car sales - down 12.0 percent at 110,125 units

Exports - up 9.6 percent at 242,101 units

Overseas output - up 7.2 percent at 365,841 units

Global production - up 3.6 percent at 734,354 units

The following figures for June are for the Toyota group:

Domestic vehicle output - down 0.5 percent at 447,586 units

Domestic passenger car output - down 0.3 percent at 389,449 units

Domestic vehicle sales - down 9.6 percent at 188,393 units

Domestic passenger car sales - down 9.3 percent at 154,340 units

Exports - up 10.5 percent at 262,236 units

Overseas output - up 8.4 percent at 371,666 units

Global production - up 3.3 percent at 819,252 units

The following figures for January-June are for Toyota Motor Corp only:

Domestic vehicle output - up 0.1 percent at 2.11 million units

Domestic passenger car output - down 0.1 percent at 1.92 million units

Domestic vehicle sales - down 9.9 percent at 826,265 units

Domestic passenger car sales - down 10.3 percent at 729,457 units

Exports - up 8.7 percent at 1.31 million units

Overseas output - up 7.4 percent at 2.11 million units

Global production - up 3.6 percent at 4.22 million units

The following figures for January-June are for the Toyota group:

Domestic vehicle output - up 1.0 percent at 2.57 million units

Domestic passenger car output - up 1.5 percent at 2.27 million units

Domestic vehicle sales - down 6.2 percent at 1.20 million units

Domestic passenger car sales - down 6.0 percent at 1.01 million units

Exports - up 9.8 percent at 1.41 million units

Overseas output - up 8.3 percent at 2.14 million units

Global production - up 4.2 percent at 4.71 million units
