RPT Strauss-Kahn sole candidate for successor to IMF's Rato

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Former French finance minister Dominique Strauss-Kahn is the only candidate who has presented himself to be considered the successor to current IMF managing director Rodrigo Rato, said IMF spokesperson Masood Ahmed at a news conference.

Rato will step down in October.

Candidates have until August 31 to present themselves.
