BEIJING (XFN-ASIA) - Standard Chartered Bank said it has opened a new sub-branch in Shanghai.The sub-branch, in Shanghai's Xujiahui district, will provide a range of consumer banking services including foreign and local currency services for foreigners and permanent residents of Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, Standard Chartered said in a statement.The sub-branch will also offer one mln yuan fixed deposit and foreign currency accounts for local residents, the statement said.(1 usd = 7.8 yuan)will.davies@afxasia.com
