COPENHAGEN (AFX) - Danish shares were sharply lower in late morning trade following Wall Street, brokers said.At 10.27, the OMXC20 was down 3.28 points to 454.42, the OMXCB was down 3.33 points to 435.34, and the OMXC All shares index was down 2.97 points to 435.85.'There is an international downturn right now, mainly driven by the American market', Maarten Kungshaug at Danske Equities said. Weak indicators for the American housing market may contribute to the bear market; at the same time, analysts believe the German economy may begin to slow down, he said.Among major Danish companies, shares in Vestas were down 5.50 dkr to 252.00, Novozymes fell 13.50 dkr to 498.50, ALK Abello was down 26 dkr to 1,271.00 and Danske Bank fell 2.00 dkr to 257.50.AP Moller Maersk Line announced it wants to quit its port in Halifax, Canada.
