(AP) - WHAT'S NEXT: Automakers release their October U.S. sales figures on Thursday, and industry analysts expect another less-than-stellar month. Ford Motor Co. could see another decline, but General Motors Corp. and the Japanese automakers could see increases because of hot new products.THE NUMBERS: Analysts predict October sales will run at an annual rate of 16 million vehicles. The annual rate shows what sales would be if they continued at the same pace for a year. The rate in September was 16.2 million, according to Autodata Corp.THE REASONS: Consumer confidence is low and the housing market is in a slump, making potential car buyers nervous.Copyright 2007 Associated Press.
