Stockholm shares slightly higher midday |

STOCKHOLM (AFX) - Shares remained in slightly positive territory in midday trade, little changed from morning levels, with most sectors posting gains on bargain hunting, dealers said.At 12.35 pm, the OMX Stockholm index was up 0.80 pct at 400.15 points, while the OMX Stockholm 30 index was up 0.87 pct at 1,228.87.The main sub-indices that were moving at midday were materials, up 1.07 pct; telecommunication services, 1.60 pct higher; and retailing, up 1.19 pct.The major movers within these indices were SSAB A, up 2.58 pct at 199 skr; TeliaSonera, 2.46 pct higher at 62.50; and Hennes & Mauritz B, up 1.46 pct at 382.Ericsson B was up 0.58 pct at 26. Ericsson announced a 106 nkr per share or 8.9 bln skr net cash bid for Norway's Tandberg Television in order to boost its IPTV product offering.Analysts said the bid was industrially correct, but will have only a minor impact on Ericsson's financials.'The acquisition will be a significant enhancement for Ericsson (its product offering), and we know that Ericsson is planning a push into IPTV in the second half,' an analyst at a European investment bank said.TF.TFN-EuropeStockholm@thomson.comhc/jlwCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
