LISBON (AFX) - EDP Energias de Portual SA said its Energias do Brasil unit has received the green light from Brazilian electricity regulator Aneel to make 10 viability studies for hydroelectric plants in the South American country.In a statement, EDP said that the viability studies focus on the possibility of installing a total of 330.5 megawatts in the Brazilian states of Goias, Minas Gerais, Espirito Santo and Mato Grosso de Sul.jonathan.gleave@thomson.comjg/abrCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
