SAN DIEGO (AP) - Drug developer Inovio Biomedical Corp. said Monday the Journal of Virology published a positive study from development partner Wyeth regarding an investigational DNA vaccine for HIV.The vaccine uses the company's electroportation technology. The study involved rhesus macaques, with results indicating that the technology appears safe and improves the delivery and effectiveness of the vaccine in non-human primates.Shares of Inovio, which granted Wyeth a non-exclusive license to its DNA delivery technology in November, soared 20 cents, or 6.4 percent, to $3.35 in premarket trading.Copyright 2007 Associated Press.
