Kuehne & Nagel plans to strengthen its position in Middle East, Dubai

ZURICH (AFX) - Kuehne & Nagel AG said it plans to become one of the top five contract logistics providers in the Gulf region medium-term and that its logistics hub in Dubai is key to its expansion plans.

The hub, 'strategically located in Dubai Logistics City', is scheduled to go into operation in the course of next year, it said.

By 2010, the group plans to 'significantly expand' its contract logistics operations and capacity across the entire Gulf region to over 200,000 square metres Dirk Reich, EVP Contract Logistics and board member, is quoted as saying in a press statement.
