Celesio to expand pharmacy division with acquisitions, new outlets - CEO

FRANKFURT (Thomson Financial) - Celesio AG aims to expand its pharmacy division through acquisitions and new outlets, chief executive Fritz Oesterle said.

The company still expects full-year pretax profit to grow faster than in 2006, with sales growing as well, the CEO told shareholders at Celesio's annual general meeting.

'Celesio will profit from an expected 5 pct annual growth of Europe's pharmacy market,' Oesterle said.
