Scattered rain likely for Midwest crops |

NEW YORK (AP) - Corn and soybean fields in parts of the Midwest could get some moisture Wednesday as scattered thunderstorms pop up throughout the region.Forecasters predict about a 60 percent chance of rain for much of Missouri and Illinois. Parts of Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin and Indiana could also get some precipitation overnight and into Wednesday.Further south, showers and thunderstorms will likely continue to pound parts of Oklahoma, where more than an inch of rain fell near Oklahoma City overnight Monday and into Tuesday. Constant rain over the past two weeks has brought flooding to many parts of the state.Rain is also likely to continue throughout Texas, where flooding in some places shut down streets and damaged buildings.Heavy rains earlier in the season damaged much of the U.S. wheat crop, and prices are again trading near 10-year highs.
