Greek Intralot lowest bidder for New Mexico Lottery 7-year tender |

ATHENS (Thomson Financial) - Greek betting technology Intralot has been selected as the lowest bidder in the New Mexico Lottery tender to provide gaming systems to the State for 7-years, starting from November 2008, announced the New Mexico Lottery.The tender calls for support to 1,100 lottery retailers in New Mexico through a computerized gaming system, communications network and ticket sales terminals.Intralot's bid was for 1.5 pct of total net sales per year, said New Mexico Lottery, adding that, in 2007, total net lottery sales were around 148 mln usd.The betting technology company's offer includes the provision new retail terminals and related equipment, as well as communications links to the system's central site in Idaho.New Mexico Lottery highlighted that the deal will save them roughly 35.4 mln eur over the 7 year period as its current gaming system vendor, GTech, is paid around 8.5 pct of annual online ticket sales and 1.4 mln usd per year in retail terminal and communication network fees.The New Mexico Lottery said it will be Intralot's fourth lottery customer in the United States, adding that Intralot's other US agreements include: the Idaho Lottery at 1.98 pct of total sales, the Nebraska Lottery at 2.39 pct of online sales, and the Montana Lottery at 5.8 pct of net online sales and instant ticket activations.Source: Euro2day.gr Newswirecheryl.novak@thomson.comcn/slmCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
