Teva gets FDA OK for generic Accupril |

NEW YORK (AP) - Israeli generic drug maker Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. said Monday it received final approval from the Food and Drug Administration to market its generic version of Pfizer Inc.'s hypertension treatment Accupril.The tablets are available in doses of 5 mg, 10 mg, 20 mg and 40 mg. The company said shipment of this product will begin soon.Total annual sales of Quinapril HCl tablets in the U.S., including branded and generic sales, totaled about $150 million for the 12 months ended June 30, based on IMS sales data.Shares of Teva rose 6 cents to $41.82 in afternoon trading.Copyright 2007 Associated Press.
