Eurosystem currency reserves unchanged at 142.1 bln eur in week to Nov 23

FRANKFURT (Thomson Financial) - The European Central Bank said net foreign currency reserves in the eurosystem were unchanged at 142.1 bln eur in the week to Nov 23.

The ECB said banknotes in circulation within the eurosystem -- which comprises the ECB and the central banks of the euro zone countries -- decreased by 1.3 bln eur to 639.3 bln.

The gold position fell by 29 mln eur to 185.391 bln.
