Repsol YPF makes largest oil find in its history in Libya

MADRID (AFX) - Repsol YPF SA said Repsol Oil Operations, a joint venture with Libya's National Oil Company (NOC) is seeking authorisation to explore during the next 25 years the I/R field in Libya, which it said has reserves of 474 mln barrels.

In a statement, Repsol YPF said the discovery is the largest in the history of the Spanish-Argentine oil and gas company, adding that it will double its production and reserves in Libya over the next few years.
