FRANKFURT (AFX) - BASF AG said it will increase the production capacity of thermal insulation material Neopor at its Ludwigshafen plant to 190,000 metric tons from 60,000, and will also open a new plant in South Korea to help meet strong demand.Part of the capacity increase in Ludwigshafen - which is set for completion at the start of 2008 - will be the result of the company's switch to Neopor from the production of Styropor, it said. The new plant in South Korea, due to be operational at the end of 2008, will be built in port city Ulsan and will have a capacity of 90,000 metric tons.patrizia.kokot@thomson.compk/mog/sljCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
