TOKYO (XFN-ASIA) - Matsushita Electric Industrial Co Ltd its operating

profit for the year ended March rose 11 pct to its highest level in sixteen

years due to robust sales of flat-screen televisions, digital consumer products

and home appliances.

Colt Telecom swings to Q1 pretax profit; sees difficult market conditions in FY

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Colt Telecom Group SA swung to a pretax profit

for the first quarter on higher margins and lower expenses, but warned that

Japan's NTT DoCoMo FY profit falls 25 pct on higher 3G-linked costs

TOKYO (XFN-ASIA) - NTT DoCoMo Inc's net profit for the fiscal year ended

March 31 fell 25 pct from a year earlier because of an increase in costs related

to its efforts to get subscribers to change to its third-generation (3G) service

amid stiff competition from KDDI Corp and Softbank Corp.
