MAN to get 370 mln eur settlement in suit against DaimlerChrysler's Freightliner

FRANKFURT (Thomson Financial) - MAN AG said it will receive 370 mln eur as a

settlement from DaimlerChrysler AG's US truck unit Freightliner Group to end a

US suit alleging accounting fraud at truckmaker ERF, which MAN acquired in 2000

from Western Star.

DaimlerChrysler to open services center in Berlin instead of Prague - report

FRANKFURT (Thomson Financial) - DaimlerChrysler AG has scrapped plans to

bundle some of its data processing operations at a new center in Prague, giving

in to pressure from its works council not to move jobs outside of Germany to

reduce costs, Sueddeutsche Zeitung reported, without saying where it got the

information.

DaimlerChrysler plans 750 voluntary redundancies at Untertuerkheim plant -report

FRANKFURT (Thomson Financial) - DaimlerChrysler AG is targeting up to 750

voluntary redundancies at its plant in Untertuerkheim, Germany by offering

workers severance packages, Stuttgarter Nachrichten reported yesterday, citing

the company's works council.
