Voith Siemens wins 120 mln eur order from China to equip hydropower plant

FRANKFURT (Thomson Financial) - Voith Siemens Hydro Power Generations GmbH & Co KG has won an order worth about 120 mln eur to equip the Jinping II hydro power station in the Chinese province of Sichuan, the company said in a statement.

Voith Siemens, a joint venture between Siemens AG and manufacturing machinery producer Voith AG, will supply eight Francis turbines with a respective output of 600 megawatts, the statement said.

Completion of the plant is scheduled for 2014.
