FRANKFURT (Thomson Financial) - Deutsche Lufthansa AG said its regional services have been disrupted by pilots at its CityLine unit going on warning strikes. The airline said five take-offs from Munich airport were delayed although Munich airport itself said seven take-offs were delayed and one was cancelled.Trade union ver.di said 45 aircraft serving Munich and Hamburg will be affected by this evening.Ver.di said it is calling for pay and conditions for CityLine's 750 pilots to be brought into line with those for the parent company's pilots.Lufthansa spokesman Andreas Bartels said giving CityLine pilots the same pay as Lufthansa pilots would mean a double-digit percent rise, even though CityLine is already one of the best-paying regional airlines.Lufthansa has already reached pay agreements with the larger Vereinigung Cockpit trade union and Bartels said Lufthansa has no intention of negotiating with Ver.di, as it considers that Cockpit has the mandate for discussing pay.Ver.di said many CityLine pilots are dissatisfied with the settlement that Cockpit reached with Lufthansa, adding that protests will continue over the next few days if Lufthansa still declines to negotiate.tf.TFN-Europe_newsdesk@thomson.comrg/jsaCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
