WASHINGTON (AP) - Wachovia Corp. won federal approval to open two bank branches, a government agency said.The Treasury Department's Office of the Comptroller of the Currency said in a weekly bulletin of regulatory activity, released Wednesday, that Charlotte, N.C.-based Wachovia's requests to open the branches were approved Sept. 18.The branches will be located in Port Hueneme, Calif., and Ashburn, Va.Shares of Wachovia fell 14 cents to $50.52 in late trading Friday.Copyright 2007 Associated Press.
