NEW YORK (Thomson Financial) - Hearst-Argyle Television Inc. Wednesday struck an agreement with Google Inc. to become the first television industry reseller of the Google AdWords advertising program.Under the agreement, Hearst-Argyle becomes an official reseller and will use its Web sales force to provide marketers within its local market segment access to Google AdWords, an online advertising platform designed to help businesses deliver relevant ads when users search for specific products and services.Hearst-Argyle operates 29 television stations and more than 30 Web sites.
