MADRID (Thomson Financial) - Bankinter SA core shareholder Jaime Botin has asked the Bank of Spain for permission to raise his stake in the bank to over 20 pct, and up to 29.99 pct, just below the 30 pct threshold that requires a full bid to be launched, according to a filing lodged with stock market regulator CNMV.Botin said the additional shares would be acquired by his 55 pct-owned investment vehicle Cartival SA, which currently holds 16.15 pct of Bankinter.tfn.europemadrid@thomson.comjdy/jdy/rwCOPYRIGHTCopyright Thomson Financial News Limited 2007.
