E.ON says 'remains committed' to offer for Endesa

DUESSELDORF, Germany (AFX) - E.ON AG said it remains committed to its offer for Endesa SA 'in its current form irrespective of the reported purchase of shares by Enel.'

The statement follows news that Enel has acquired a 9.99 pct stake in Endesa, or 105.9 mln shares, at 39 eur per share for a total 4.126 bln eur.
