OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Billionaire investor Warren Buffett hopes his star power -- and that of actor Robert Redford, country music singer Tim McGraw and TV actor James Denton -- will draw bidders in an auction of an exclusive invitation to a reception at his daughter's house.

Redford, McGraw and Denton, from the show 'Desperate Housewives,' will join the Oracle of Omaha and the winning bidder at a reception for 50 invitation-only guests at a reception at the Omaha home of Buffett's daughter Susan Buffett.

The reception is scheduled to take place before a benefit concert to be headlined by McGraw that includes appearances by the other celebrities. The winning bidder will also receive tickets to the charity show.

The auction, being conducted online on the Charity Folks Web site, ends Monday. As of Wednesday afternoon, the highest bid for the two invitations to the March 10 reception was $5,000.

Proceeds from the auction will benefit the James Redford Institute for Transplant Awareness, according to the auction Web site. The institute is named for the actor's son, who received two liver transplants at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 1993.

Money from the show will go to the institute and the medical center.
