Textron elects James Ziemer to board

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Textron Inc., a diversified industrial manufacturer, said Wednesday that it elected James L. Ziemer to its board effective Thursday.

Ziemer currently serves as president and chief executive of Harley-Davidson Inc. Ziemer has been with the motorcycle manufacturer for more than 38 years.

Textron shares rose $1.44 to close at $92.27 on the New York Stock Exchange.
