NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Clothing and jeans manufacturer VF Corp. said Wednesday its uniform and athletic unit acquired Majestic Athletic Inc., which provides sports apparel and team uniforms to Major League Baseball.Financial terms were not disclosed.VF Imagewear makes uniforms and protective gear for government and corporate clients, including the National Football League, National Hockey League and Major League Baseball. VF said Majestic Athletic's headquarters and manufacturing operations will remain in Bangor, Pa., as part of VF Imagewear's Activewear division.Majestic President Faust Capobianco IV will lead the baseball business as part of VF Imagewear's Activewear Division.VF Chairman and Chief Executive Mackey McDonald said he expects the acquisition of Majestic and the company's January purchase of travel gear and luggage company Eagle Creek Inc. to add about $180 million to revenue in 2007.VF shares rose 42 cents to close at $79.71 on the New York Stock Exchange.Copyright 2007 Associated Press.
