MILFORD, Mass. (AP) - Waters Corp., which makes analytical equipment and software used in the pharmaceutical, biochemical and industrial industries, said Wednesday it approved the repurchase of up to $500 million of its outstanding common stock over the next two years.The previous buyback program, authorized in October 2005, was recently completed.The company has more than 101 million shares outstanding.Shares of Water rose 28 cents to close at $54.24 on the New York Stock Exchange.Copyright 2007 Associated Press.
