ADDISON, Texas (AP) - Surgical facilities operator United Surgical Partners International Inc. said Wednesday its fourth-quarter profit rose 6.5 percent, partly on revenue from new and acquired operations.The company earned $13.1 million, or 29 cents per share, compared with a profit of $12.3 million, or 27 cents per share, during the same period a year before. Revenue rose to $155.7 million from $116.1 million.Analysts polled by Thomson Financial expected profit of 30 cents per share on revenue of $148 million.During the quarter, the company opened new facilities in Richmond, Va., and Manitowoc, Wis. It also bought two facilities in Lansing, Mich., in partnership with McLaren Health Care.Just before the end of the quarter it opened three facilities in Houston and one in northern California, and bought two facilities in St. Louis.For the full year the company earned $34.2 million, or 75 cents per share, compared with a profit of $47.3 million, or $1.05 per share, in 2005.
