FAIRFAX, Va. (AP) - Defense contractor ManTech International Corp. said Wednesday fourth-quarter earnings rose 34 percent on more business from the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security.Net income rose to $13.9 million, or 41 cents per class B share, from $10.4 million, or 31 cents per class B share, a year ago. Income from continuing operations rose to $15.3 million, or 45 cents per share.Revenue rose 11 percent to $290.7 million from $261 million last year.Analysts polled by Thomson Financial forecast profit of 42 cents per share on revenue of $290.6 million.For the year, earnings rose 15 percent to $50.7 million, or $1.49 per class B share, and revenue grew 16 percent to $1.14 billion, driven by new business with the Department of Homeland Security.In electronic after-hours trading, ManTech shares rose 3 cents to $34.48.Copyright 2007 Associated Press.
