MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - CompUSA is hitting 'delete' on its Minnesota stores. The Dallas-based computer store chain is closing 126 stores, including all four in Minnesota, over the next three months. A liquidation sale was starting Wednesday at the Roseville store. The restructuring will leave CompUSA with 103 stores in 39 states. The company said it is closing underperforming stores or those in saturated markets, but spokeswoman Jessica Nunez said she didn't know the specific reasons for closing the Minnesota stores.Electronics retailing has become increasingly competitive, with even The Home Depot Inc. offering televisions for sale over the holidays. And Best Buy Co. Inc., which dominates electronics retailing, has begun a push for small business customers, one of CompUSA's mainstays. The privately held company is owned by U.S. Commercial Corp., which will be making a $440 million cash infusion as part of the restructuring, Nunez said.Copyright 2007 Associated Press.
