Helsinki shares lower at midday led by Outokumpu; UPM, OKO Bank trade ex-div |

HELSINKI (AFX) - Helsinki shares were lower in midday trade led by Outokumpu and with UPM-Kymmene and OKO Bank trading ex-dividend, brokers said.At 12.50 pm, the OMX Helsinki 25 was down 0.71 pct at 3,062.78 and the OMX Helsinki was 0.56 pct lower at 10,241.48 on 282 mln eur turnover.Outokumpu was 1.13 pct weaker at 26.35 eur, ahead of its AGM due later today, where analysts are expecting an update on short-term stainless-steel prices.Shares have been hit lately by a fall in stainless-steel prices.OKO Bank -- 5.95 pct lower at 12.81 eur -- was the market's biggest decliner as it was trading ex-dividend.UPM-Kymmene -- 4.30 pct weaker at 18.90 eur -- was also sliding sharply for the same reason.Nokia -- 0.41 pct lower at 16.90 eur -- slightly outperformed the broader market.Of the gainers, Neste Oil added 2.00 pct to 26.51 eur, Nokian Tyres was 0.46 pct firmer at 19.78 eur and Sampo A was up 0.22 pct to 22.55 eur.azer.sawiris@thomson.comafs/icCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
