WASHINGTON (AP) - The U.S. Air Force on Friday awarded a $14.5 million contract to a unit of Honeywell Inc. for Global Positioning Systems for several types of U.S. aircraft.The Clearwater, Fla.-based Honeywell Defense and Space Electronic Systems will install GPS and Inertial Navigation Systems on several aircraft including the MH-60, UH-1Y, F-18, F-16 and CH-47, among others.The company is expected to complete work by March 2009.Shares of Honeywell fell 31 cents to $54.58 in aftermarket trading, after shares rose $1.20, or 2.2 percent, to close at $54.89 on the New York Stock Exchange.Copyright 2007 Associated Press.
